further digital drawing/coloring experimenting with some J.C. Leyendecker large brushstrokes in mind. There are merits to both, but today I found myself rather fond of the looser, less cleaned up lines.

Ha ha, yes, that's true. (That was about a year ago? Or two? This time of year, I think. I guess it's what I like for spring?!) . "I know what I like XD;," was one of the things I thought prominently to myself while working on this.
That's probably it? I was just having fun so it wasn't worked out too specifically. That or Sassoon already read it and made some comments/suggestions which Wilfred is examining now.
I know it was before the novel was wrapped up because it came somewhere around the time you wrote the scene of A+A target practicing in a field.
